We just got back from a long dinner in Halifax H(two hours ahead of CST) to see the news about the bridge collapse. I hope all Minneapolis posters are safe and sound as well as any loved ones and friends of those here.

Yes, no kidding! I just got back from near Nisswa, MN on a wonderful family vacation, and passed through "The Cities" prior to my flight out earlier today. Hang in there folks.

Checking in OK. Have driven over the bridge many times. Was actually downtown earlier today (not too far away from the area). Very unfortunate. Thoughts and prayers go out to those affected.

My thoughts are with you all too. I think I saw a post by mpls posted yesterday after the bridge news broke but I am not positive. Odd but that was the first thing I thought of. I thought I wonder if mpls is ok. No offense to the rest of you I just see him posting the most.

So on that note I hope and pray that all WS forumites are well and prayers are with those that were unfortunate victims, wine lovers or not.

I too hope all are OK. As a bridge engineer, I wonder what the cause was. It even made the front page of the Jersey papers.

I'm ok, however one of my coworkers at the country club is still missing. I'ts the most bizarre thing Iv'e seen in mpls in the last 20 years. I guess there are some 70,000 bridges in the US that have been graded the same as our bridge was. I hope this doesn't happen anywhere else!
