I've given up on the franchise. I had hoped Javier Bardem as the criminal would make it worth seeing, but after hearing this, I'll keep giving it a pass.

Anyone seen Hitchcock yet? It's out on the north shore here and I've been tempted to go over and see it.

I recently saw Argo - the first movie I've seen at the theaters in who knows how long. My wife and I both enjoyed it. I'm not sure it's the best movie of the year, but since it's the only one I've seen this year, I guess I'm not the best judge.

Last night, a Hitchcock double-feature:

I gotta get a suit like Cary Grant wore all movie long in NbN. It sure could take a beating, and great looking too..... Need to drop 20 lbs. or so to pull it off, though.

I have said MANY times...no man has ever looked better in a suit than Grant did in that movie, ever!

I'm a little surprised you did not mention the sunglasses and shoes. ( both brilliant)

Cabin in the Woods - Loved it . A horror movie that is funny.

They made a bunch of those in the 1950s.

But those were unintentionally funny.

You know, spo, I don't think so. The people who made those movies had to know people would be laughing. Check out Fiend Without a Face, The Crawling Eye, Attack of the Killer Shrews.

Hmm. Not me. While I enjoyed Casino Royale, I thought Skyfall was better. Mind you, as a fan of the classic Bond flicks, I was sold as soon as they re-introduced the DB5 and Ms. Moneypenney.

Same here, except I was wrapping presents and making Christmas cookies - the tree is still standing without decorations (that comes tomorrow).
