'cause at nearly 3 hours, you know that you'll need to pee before it finishes and you might miss something important. Better to watch it at home where you can pause and pee.

Thumbs up.

Smile As a purely unsolicited opinion K, I'm sure glad that I did not see any sort of preview prior to seeing this last year. I saw the preview a month later, and was floored with how much of the story's hook it gave away. Hate it when trailers do this. . .

True.

However, I was a little uneasy about the underlying subject matter of it all. Yep, life is unfair for his deported friend, how he was treated and then deported. How his mother dealt with it all and the relationship between the characters. So much was set up on a t-ball stand, ready to bat out a some real moral. Some answer. And then.... nothing... movie over.

O.Kayyyyy. Interesting movie. Just felt they really dropped the ball on this one. Took it to the 10 yard line and laid an egg.

Just me?

Well, so much for those that have not seen the movie. Razz

K, the movie was not about Tarek Khalil, not in the least. It was about Walter Vale, and him taking off his uniform that life had dressed him in so many years ago. The conformity of his life had left his soul devoid of all vigor, courage and resolve.

Tarek was simply the color purple that makes black, look blacker.

Bold Lies.

I'm not sure whether Dicaprio is just coming of age or he's being (recently) directed by some great men, i.e. Scorsese, Scott, Speilberg, but he's turing out to be a pretty good actor.

He's always had the talent - I mean look at his roles when he was a teenager - A Boy's Life, What's Eating Gilbert Grape -

Gigond, I just read the judgement of Paris. How do you think the movie compared to the book if you have read it?
