Robert Downey Jr. is one hell of an actor.

Thumbs up.

Smile As a purely unsolicited opinion K, I'm sure glad that I did not see any sort of preview prior to seeing this last year. I saw the preview a month later, and was floored with how much of the story's hook it gave away. Hate it when trailers do this. . .

Donnie Darko. So bizzare, so good. Too bad the Director's 2nd movie, Southland Tales, didn't hold up to the 1st.

Entertaining and a good role for Kevin Spacey, I thought.

Watched "Flawless" last night on demand. Robert Deniro and Phillip Seymour Hoffman are two of my favorite actors. Watching Hoffman play a drag queen, well, enough said.

I saw "Flawless" a couple of months ago, so I was totally confused by your post until I realized you were talking about an earlier movie of the same name (but completely different plot).

The 2007 movie is about a diamond caper in London in the 1960s, and stars Demi Moore, who does not resemble Hoffman in drag at all.

Not the first time I've seen it. Still a very strange movie with lots of cool imagery. Hopper is psycho.

Burn After Reading. Really enjoyed it, as I have most Coen Brothers films.

Yep! I kept waiting for him to say: "F___ you, you F___ing F___!!!" which I'd seen on T-shirts before in big cities, and thought was a Blue Velvet quote, but this is just about the only permutation I didn't recall hearing him say.

I really liked it as well. I’m probably in the minority, but I enjoyed it more than No Country For Old Men

Eek Note to self: Don't trust GlennK for movie reviews. Wink

Big Grin Just calling it like I see it. Burn made me laugh and I liked the offbeat nature off it. No country was captivating because of the raw violence, but the actual story was kind of blah for me. Bad guy chasing good guy, not exactly original.

I'm perhaps not the best movie critic to follow, as I go for pure entertainment, usually comedy, though historical films, sci fi and the usual epics also turn me on. Films about the places we've lived I also enjoy: anything about India or Central America get my attention. Haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire yet but I plan to soon. And Monsoon Wedding is one of the few films I could watch over and over again....
