Excellent movie. We'll be in the Badlands in just over 5 months.

Just one more sip.

Big Grin

It wasn't directed at him. The last post I directed at him was in the waiting for 2005 futures thread. He did see that one.

But I do see K's post. It is a good film isn't it? I wish Malick would/could put out films more often. Have you seen this K?

If the implication is that indyb0b doesn't see my post, he's simply lying again, like he did in the waiting for 2005 futures thread. Roll Eyes

Nope. Haven't seen it. I'll keep my eye out for it here.
Thanks, IB.

Sure. If you aren't used to Malick's pacing, be warned that some describe it as plodding. I'd describe it as beautifully layered. His film "Thin Red Line" is at or near the top of my short list of best war movies ever made. I think his films suffer on the small screen though. Smile

Watched Rain Man again last night. I had forgotten what a good performance Hoffman put in. It was released in '88, 3 years before my own autistic son was born. There are a few similar tics between them both. It's obvious Hoffman did his homework in an era where autism was much more of a mystery than even now.

Once the 'inevitable' happens, the movie moves pretty fast. It has a 'Steven Segal - type movie' feel, but in a good way.

The Inn at Rodanthe

Just Ok. Bordered on being a chick flick. Glad I only paid the 4.99 for on demand instead of the theater price for my wife and myself.

For V-day, Mrs. Glennk really wanted to go see He's just not that into you. It was very much a chick flick, but did make me laugh at times and there is plenty of eye candy for the guys.

Tropic Thunder

I thought that Robert Downey was quite good, but Tom Cruise stole the show.

And as for "Underworld", Kate Beckinsale can drink my blood any time...
