I thought this was fantastic, but a lot of my friends were bored by it. Hope you enjoy it. You menionted Phillip Seymour Hoffman. I feel the same way about Daniel Day-Lewis. His performance in this movie is very impressive, and in my opinion, quite powerful.

Traitor -- an 88-89 IMO whereas Batman was a 95. Saving Private Ryan, a 98 score.

Saw Dark Knight at the movies. Well worth the money.
Watched Lord Of War on Netflix. Surprisingly good movie.
Also watched Green Fingers. Clive Owen and Helen Mirren; it was utterly predictable but fun.

Super Troopers had its moments. The maple syrup chugging scene for example. Big Grin

Last night I treated to the kids to back-to-back showings of

and
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey
The first was clearly superior. Wink Popcorn

I liked King of California, but I was shocked at how skinny and wasted Michael Douglas looked in it. I hope he just did that for the role.

I assume the look was for the roll, he fit it well. He really impressed me, I never really gave him credit but that was some acting.

The girl was very good as well.

Saw "The Band's Visit" --
Story about an Egyptian police band lost in Israel.
Largely in English, but when it switches to Hebrew or Arabic there are subtitles, of course.
A wonderful movie....sentimental, funny, warm, clever. All wrapped into 90 minutes or so.
Netflix.
I recommend this.
