Any recommendations for good restaurants in Mexico city. BYOB friendly, (or not).
I know of Le Cirque, but what else? |

Depends on what you are looking for but if I had to pick just one place I'd say San Angel Inn for the ambiance, the food and the service. Not sure about BYO.
I've never heard of Le Cirque, it must be new.... I guess? It's been almost 2 years since I visited Mexico City. |

Honestly I would not bother; there are so many great local restaurants with a lot of history, tradition and great food that I'd skip Le Cirque. Here is a list of a few: San Angel Inn (elegant, great mexican and international food) La Hacienda de los Morales (elegant, great mexican food) Fonda de San Jacinto (located in plaza de San Jacinto- South of Mexico City) go there on a saturday afternoon for a long lunch with tequilas. Los Panchos (located near Polanco area, nothing fancy but a great place for tacos) El Cambalache (great steaks and empanadas) There are so many others... Mexico City is one of my favorite cities for dinning. |
