Respect should be earned and not giving out for free because of your job title, even that job title. Now I may or may not agree that he deserves to be booed, but I do support the right to boo

I support the right to boo the players you paid to see, I just don't think the President of the United States deserves to be bood at a sporting event or anywhere else just because you disagree with his politics. I think Bill Clinton is a scumbag but if he threw out the first pitch at Fenway I wouldn't boo him (I might not applaud but I wouldn't boo). If you reach the position of President in my opinion you have earned some respect even if I disagree with you personally or politically.

Back to baseball again, did anyone catch the highlights of the Sox/A's and see the blown homerun call? They should have instant replay for situations like that if nothing else. All the other major sports use it in some form or another, why can't MLB do it for the integrity of the game?

That's the best first baseman the Yanks could find for 23.1 million? I know he'd be an expensive bench player but he has to be the worst defensive 1'st baseman in the game.

We may not agree about the boo birds, but I totally agree on instant replay. If the technology is there, why not use it.

If Chamberlain and Mariano keep this up all year, I like the Yankees' chances.

We Detroit fans are ever so hopeful. Should I add a "Go Lions" now, or wait until September?

You need some starting pitching to get to them first, Kennedy looked pretty bad last night from the highlights I saw. I thought they Yankee's had planned to make Chamberlin a starter this year. Maybe I heard that wrong or maybe he's just too good at what he does like Papelbon. As the saying goes, if it aint broke...

These f*****g Bluejays are like Kryptonite for the Red Sox the last few years. Frown

Yankees are not hitting and are getting beaten again by the Rays. It's not supposed to go like this.

Tigers - #2 in salary this season and now 0-5. And, Friday afternoon's game saw the first major boo-birds of the season, with the crowd really giving it up to the Tiger's pitching staff.

Drink wine, and you will sleep well. Sleep, and you will not sin. Avoid sin, and you will be saved. Ergo, drink wine and be saved.

Not to worry, Zito told reporters he is going to make a few tweaks in his delivery that will get his fastball from 84 back to around 90. Eek I can’t believe he actually said that out loud.

That AT&T Park is great venue. I had the opportunity to see Greg Maddux record his 300th win. Then went to Napa for a couple days...good trip!!

84 to 90? Confused If he could get his fastball from 81 to 84 I would be happy....

Andrew Jones sure has looked like the same guy that hit .222 last season. Actually he looks worse as he is currently hitting .115. His favorite pitch right now is the outside slider that bounces in the dirt 2 feet before home plate. Mad

His batting average going down is in inverse proportion to his weight going up.... If he keeps it up, pretty soon he will be pushing Bartolo Colon, Miguel Cabrera, and Prince Fielder.....

So true. I have already noticed a couple of balls that dropped in front of him that he used to catch with ease. He’s only 30, so the only explanation in his diminished range is his fat A$$.
