Isn't NASA still calculating his ERA?

PLEASE do not confuse potential suitors with mere details. Afterall the main concern should be the last 3 starts. Big Grin Did you see that curve ball on his last outing against the Dodgers?

Tonights Cubs v Reds game should be interesting. It is the 1st time Reds announcer Marty Brenneman is returning to Wrigley after his anti Cub fan rant earlier this year.

I'm sure he will get a very friendly welcome at the friendly confines.

My twins just got swept today losing 18 to 5 against Boston at fenway after winning 18 of 21 games previously. Our bullpen is dead and Livan Hernandez needs to be replaced by Francisco Liriano who is at triple AAA ball rehabbing now.

The old-age dump has begun. Durham to the Brewers. Now to get rid of Winn, Vizquel, and Aurilia. Too bad they just transferred Roberts to the 60 day DL. He needs to go too....

I drove past Elk Grove on my way to Roseville this weekend. I didn’t know if was that close. Golf turned out to be ok, it was warm, but the air quality wasn’t too bad.

Right up I-5, I assume? If so, you were only about 5 minutes from my home. This weekend's weather was really mild. We had some wind during the end of the week which pushed out much of the smoke. In turn, the smoke was lingering in Lake Tahoe, trying to be pushed into Nevada by the wind.

So, where did you end up playing?

Yep, straight up the 5 from my house. We played both courses at Lincoln Hills on Friday, Turkey Creek twice on Saturday and Whitney Oaks on Sunday. All were fun courses but I think I liked Turkey Creek the best. Refreshing how reasonable the golf fees were. I think the most we paid was $67 at Whitney Oaks on Sunday. You won’t find a decent course for below $125-150 around my house on the weekend (and it’s always packed!!).

Hopefully the Red Sox can put a stop to the Yanks streak tonight. I thought for sure they'd be done when Wang went down but they're pulling the right pieces off the scrap pile for now.

The close race in the AL East will at least it'll make this weekend series more interesting.

Let's see if this still works...Yankee's Suck! Yankee's suck! Razz

The Yanks have won eight in a row and are absolutely crushing free agency right now. I can't believe all the bottom feeders in the league trading their best players to the Yanks right now. I wish my twins could do the same. Frown

Richie Sexson is not someone I would identify as best player.

Xavier Nady was a nice stopgap pickup though.

Barry Bonds will be their next move Wink Steinbrenner would sell his soul and his sons into slavery for another championship.

??? I don't get it either. What free agency are you talking about? Richie Sexson wasn't tearing the cover off the ball, and the Yanks got him for the minimum price. Nady and Damarte were available to a number of big-market teams. These transactions were good moves to fill some big needs since Matsui and Posada are probably lost for the season. You gotta give credit where credit is due. Hopefully, its enough to get them to the playoffs.

The lowly Orioles knock off the Yankees. The O's are 6-14 in their last 20 games, and yet they stop the Yankees home winning streak.
Go figure.
