I feel your pain, brother. I went to the game Friday night. Another gutsy performance by Estes ruined by no offense and a 45 minute rain delay. I knew we were in trouble when Hoffman fell behind 3 and 1 to Dunn. Sigh! At least Molly's was a hit before the game. Oh well, go Pads.

Roll Eyes typical San Diego sports fan (if such a thing really exists Wink ).

Confused Confused Confused
So you're saying that only San Diego sports fans are capable of rationally evaluating the chances of their team pulling things together? Hmmm, you may be right. Razz

No, I am saying that it is typical for a "San Diego sports fan" to be late to a sports discussion. Most likely because their too busy bleaching their brains on the beach Razz

Hey, GlennK!!!!

Can you imagine how many more lbs Andruw Jones is going to put on now that he is having surgery and won't be able to work out for a few weeks? I think his face is going to get stretch marks....

Dude, he is going to be huge. Turns out being that fat and running around centerfield is bad for the knees, go figure. Jones stats this year, batting .165, 2 hr’s, 7 RBI’s, 45 strikeouts in 133 AB’s, 1-33 with runners in scoring position. Eek

In happier Dodger news, Kershaw had a solid debut on Saturday. Hopefully we can get Furcal back soon and make another run at the D-backs!

That is the one that stands out the most, well second most. I think 18.6 rates just a bit higher.

Kershaw sure looked like the real deal....

Hey GlennK!!!

I watched the Phillies/Red Sox game last night. You can take some solace in the fact that Andruw Jones is only the second fattest player in the majors. Colon is so fat he cant even keep a batting helmet on his head!!!!!!

My Twins are gonna make it back to .500 tonight. Their starting pitching needs to become more consistant to win the division, but I'm getting fired up to take out the White Sox.

Totally, I passed him in spring training a couple of years ago and couldn’t believe how big he was. Did you happen to catch Prince Fielders inside the park homerun the other day? There was a lot of jiggling going on around the bases. Eek

Is baseball in Florida for real?

Rays with best record and 3 1/2 up on Sox?

Marlins competitive in NL

Starting to look like Nirvana. Would be nice to stick it to all those that show up to games in this state with NY and B hats.

I might actually have to go to a Rays game...since unfortunately its about a 3 1/2 hr shorter drive than to see the Marlins. We all know what a tank of gas costs these days!!

Go Marlins!!!

GO GATORS!!

I'm hoping the Ray's crash and burn like the Oriole's teams of a few years ago. Off to a great start and then....

Unfortunately that team I saw the last few games looked like the real deal. Only one person hitting over .300 but the pitching was solid. Pitching and defense win championships so this could be an interesting race to watch this year. The sox really need to get Papi back but rumor has it that will have to wait until August Frown

Very impressive performance by Lincecum, and an impressive season. Almost seems like he is the Giants.

Right now I am thinking my Pirates might have a chance at .500 this year. For the talent we have, new Manager John Russell is doing very good. Get him some better pitching and we could have a solid team. The Pirates have good hitting, but our pitching is terrible.

Our new GM Neal Huntington has been a huge plus. We had a great draft, and while our farm systems are lacking in talent for the most part at least this looks like the beginning of some good things to come. It will be a few more years before things get good, but now there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I figured you liked that. I will say, however, that it was good to see that the time on the DL hasn't effected Fat Andruw's AB's....
