I recently got a call from a grey market company that got my information from a co-worker. I had been talking to my co-worker about possibly letting 2 bottles of 98 Haut Brion go. My question is I was offered $400 dollars a bottle. Is this a fair price? I really don't keep up with the auction prices.
Thanks in advance!! Is this the Potato farm? Yes, I am Albert Potato. |

The price is a little high for this wine. If you're really interested, contact Michael Weiss at MW wines. He's listing it for $360. I have purchased from him multiple times without a hiccup. Also, Binny's in IL is listing this wine for $345, but I have no direct experience with them.

PH, PNwG is asking if $400 is a good price for him to sell the wine at not buy it at. pissing people off since 1971! 'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have.' -Thomas Jefferson |

Thanks, seanr7. I misread the post.
I guess the advice still obtains, just from another angle. If he can get $400 per bottle, and doesn't mind letting the wine go, it's a good price from the seller's perspctive based on current market value. PH |

PNG,
I find it more than a little odd that a "gray market" company is cold calling people to ask if they want to sell. I wouldn't do any business with them unless it was cash only. *********** "Never RE-elect anybody." --Keith Squier |
