Double D if you're a winner in the FF league I'll be more than happy to swap out my current offering with one of these bottles if you like. I'm with Keeno on this wine. I LOVED the '05 Uvas Creek and when I read Paul's letter stating the 06 was a step up from that effort I ran to the fax machine.

Snipes, after this week's FF performance, that may be a longer shot than being on Paul's list. But we'll see. Thanks for the option!

DoubleD, you don't need an invite, I'm happy to have volunteers for most activities. It's pretty hard work though.

I wouldn't anticipate shipping any time soon, as they're very busy with harvest right now.

I only took six, too. Dave and I are in the fortunate situation where we get to taste these multiple times in addition to our own bottles.

Uvas Creek really has its own signature that I've never had in another wine. Paul once poured us a '66 Uvas Creek Vineyards Cabs and it had the same notes (and was still holding up pretty well). With the '06 there is an increases in intensity over the '05, plus I was a bit surprised to see a prominent SCM flair, which I have a fetish for. I think that's all a sign of better winemaking than I've had from that little area before.

It will be interesting to see how the (nearby) Crimson Clover compares...

Shipping will start around the 15th. More likely the 21st. We tried the wine last night up at Eaglepoint Ranch with Casey and Lynn Hartlip. Casey gave a thumbs up, and we think it's ready to go out in 2 weeks or so.

I still haven't gotten my mailer . Soon though, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I'm afraid the Pinot situation is not looking fun. I just picked for Bradley Brown at Big Basin, and Pax Mahle today. I sent Pax off with 1/2 of what he wanted and Bradley with just about 60%.

We pick for ourselves tomorrow, and I think I'll only have 6 barrels/150 cases. I was hoping I might be able to make up to 250. I will do my best thought to get offers out to everyone buying wine when the time comes.

my offering letter arrived this weekend (having been forwarded by the post office as i just moved). i just faxed an order, taking the offered 3-pack of the '06 uvas creek cab, and begged for a 3-pack of the '06 eaglepoint syrah. since this is my first order, i'm not too hopeful of being able to get any of the syrah, so if anyone is willing to share some of their syrah allocation, please let me know. thanks.

Keith, I still have 8 of the '06 Syrah, and a case of the '06 Uvas Creek if you want to suppliment your order, that I'd be willing to share with you at cost. Hell, I'll even split my remaining 2 '05 Syrah with you, if interested.
