This is exactly why I don't buy wine online . . . and why I love this board so much.

Everyone is here for a reason and those who try to abuse the board and/or rip off members become exposed VERY quickly.

Nice job grossie.

I'm no genius for googling her. I don't even know if that link refers to the same person. I guess my point is the same as others have said- caveat emptor. I would personally consider buying some of this, but I would need to see it in person and make the exchange that way. Any other way is to risky for me.

Well, first I have never seen anything like this...I stated in my post I wanted to deal with local people ok..I will be more direct now...I WILL ONLY DEAL WIH SOMEONE WHO CAN PICK UP THE WINE PERSONALLY..I will also place this wine on winecommune. As far as the other slanderous comments I will be litigious so all of you who sit behind your desks and think you can throw ludicrous statements out there just to slander someone are in for a big surprise..Who knows maybe Wine Spectator will be responsible for this as well....

What kind of idiot would send $$$ for wine in this situation? Top wines like these are so easy to auction off for basically retail that any moron could list at Winecommune or call Zachys, Sotheby's, etc.

1982 Mouton is worth $1000-1200 per bottle, why sell it for under $300?
1985 Mouton is worth more than $70 per bottle.
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.

Won't these idiots go away?

You've never heard of people researching a stranger trying to sell them something over the internet?

As for the "slander", someone asked point blank if you were that same person in the link. If you're not, just say so and get over it. Save the histrionics and threats for people more ignorant and less intelligent, please.

I would be very interested in learning the nature of this "big surprise" that people who sit behind their desks are going to receive, as I am currently seated in precisely that location and would like to be included. I am hoping that it will be something nice that I can keep, rather than the usual junk that I just end up having to regift. Smile

I think you're going to have to demonstrate some kind of loss to your good name or reputation that all this slandering has caused before you can actually recover any damages. As only your moniker has had any replies, I can't see how you're really out anything at all. And as far as thinking that we "can throw ludicrous statements out there" with impunity, well of course we can! If we couldn't, I would likely have been put in jail years ago.

Welcome to the WS Forums, HollyG. Anyone who can generate this much fun in just her first couple of posts is OK in my book!

You talk like an idiot. Nobody slandered you. We just said we're suspicious of you. I sure am. I wouldn't buy a bottle of water from you. I'm very suspicious of you.

Just one more sip.

This is rapidly approaching that "classic" kind of thread.

All we need now is to hear about some disturbing erotic activities. Cool

BTW, nobody has slandered you. If you were correct in your assertions, which you are clearly not, some here may have been libelous.

Libel

Let's hope he sneaks back in the house tonight and takes his wine. Wink

I believe her in this case. I think she's an expert at not having an ex.

I am sure the staff of winecommune will be happy to see this thread as well.

If litigation is on your mind (still? After the diverce), then you had better ask $3300 per bottle for the Mouton...

too funny
