I don't think this should be closed. It could turn out to be evidence.
Just one more sip.

Go drink something out of a box, idiot.
Hall Monitor, I remember the last time you called me an idiot, you got mad that I called you old and lonely, which you so clearly are. Keep hiding behind that dumbshit nickname. That's the only way you would ever have the cajones to call anyone an idiot. Now go along, Hall Monitor, tell the teacher on me. You will even get a cookie for your fat ass.

Just the IRS and a state government taxing authority or two
Hi all, I just discovered an interesting fact - apparently it's against Federal law for individuals in different states to ship wines to each other unless they are registered dealers. I may have the details incorrect, but basically, if you don't have a license, you can't legally ship wine. My point is that with all the crap about breaking laws, who here has broken this one? Something about casting stones, or stoning cast or ... Cheers

I think the better question is: Who has evaded sales taxes to the magnitude that Matt H may be doing?

The juice on a million bucks if selling out of Cali would be over $90K if I am doing my math correctly.

I have no cat in this fight. However, I believe Matt would only be looking at taxes on his profits from all this. Not the total value. For all anyone knows, he might be selling at a loss and own nothing. Just trying to keep things in perspective...

I am only talking about sales tax that CA or NV would probably want. Not even addressing the possibility of capital gains taxes the Feds migh seek. I also have no dog in the fight, but I am a fan of full disclosure.

if they did, I'm going to have to have a talk with ny about returning some of my taxes!
