I'd say somewhere in the lower range is fair. I am not going to hold out for top dollar or anything. What do you think is a fair price (I know... $45, right?)? I'm open to suggestions and trades. Ideally for me one person would want 2 cases and then I'd only have to deal with shipping the wine once.

Totally right PH, espcially when you have stores (Europe) which are still selling this wine at 35 euros...

The store I purchase this wine at in Italy was selling it for 35E back in May. You throw in 130-180E to ship a case back to the states... you're looking at 47E/btl which is still only $60-70/btl. That said, the shop I purchased from in Montalcino is now charging 95E/btl (I wrote to thank the woman who recommended the wine and helped me broker the original sale). Greedy bastards, huh? Damn this free market.

You click on "reply", type in name and location of store, then click on "post now".

At least that's how WE do it around here.

Why on earth would anyone pay $125 dollars per bottle to a clown on an internet chat board with no track record for delivering on his promises when you can buy at the same inflated price through a reputable brick and mortar wine shop or through a trusted internet auction house such as winebid or winecommune? Buyer Beware. Maybe I will post that I have 15 cases that I am willing to sell for the minimally inflated price of $60. How many of you suckers are going to send me checks?

At $60, no way! $40-50 and I'm willing to talk. Smile

You raise a completely valid point. I, however, was not asking $125/btl. I use the past tense, because my wine is all accounted for and sold.

If I don't deliver on it, I'm sure you'll hear about it from people on this message board, but, they have nothing to worry about.

Good luck to everyone out there. I'm pulling for an '05 German Auslese sleeper to be #1 for 2007... Smile

O.K., Lou. You drive a hard bargain. 40 bucks does it. I can tell you are a nice guy, and I'm not in it for the money, but just to make people happy, so send me a cashiers check for a grand to my mysteriously designated P.O. Box, and 25 bottles of our Wine of the Year is on it's way. Really. Honestly.
