Drink that Dominus before you go, have a friend keep your 6 bottles of CdP safe in his cellar for you. Sell the rest Smile

I found some I would be interested in. If serious about selling. List prices and email. Wouldn't hurt to discuss storage, etc.

No brainer. Mostly ones and twos of each. Sell.

The CdP is worth storing but not for 4 bottles.

And it doesn't belong in that list.

It isn't that big of a list and most of it is young, I'd find someone that you could store it with if you are going to be back in a year or two.

With these many singles I suspect you're are still working on your sweet spot, so you'll probably be well served by trying these eventually.

Good god, sell. How many one'seys can a person collect of such young wine?

What Joe means, is that you have a bit of a mixed list of very young wines, most needing a lot of age..... with a 1991 Dominus sitting up on the top! TOTALLY out on it's own. A classic, ready to consume and arguably ONE of the better wines, of arguably the BEST vintage, of the 90's.

As Joe said... Doesn't fit the list Smile

After thousands of wines the 91 Dominus is still my fave. It stands alone.

Good question - and one I may be facing in a few years.
If you have no plans to return, drink or sell. You don't have all that much, around 10 cases, and it looks pretty young.

The only mistake would be to store it and forget about it.

One strategy to consider: Drink the mature wines and zins now. Then store the rest with the right storage facility . If in ~5 years you haven't made it back, have the facility sell it at auction. Which is why the right facility is critical. They should have ties to a reputable auction house. Storage means trust, especially if out-of-country.

Also keep good records. Maybe you end up making a charitable donation with a tax deduction.

At some point you will look at the storage bill and ask yourself "Why am I doing this?".
Which is why it will behoove you to taste these over the years. Chances are you will have opportunities to access the cellar when you travel back on interim trips. Its fun to drink wines you haven't seen in years!

Nice collection!
Drinking the early ninties is a good idea but the rest of the goodies are young and will store nicly for a long time . I'm selfish with my collection i cant sell it.

Selling and shipping seems like it could be a pain in the ass to me, if you plan on coming back sometime in the future I'd store, and if you come back to visit rather than move back you could drink the ready wines when you visit untill you move back permanantly. Razz

You have fewer than 10 cases, by my quick count, which isn't a lot of wine. Some nice stuff that would be better whenever you return from wherever. I'd keep it, if practicable.

Check the local wine storage places and see what a small locker would cost. If you have family or trusted friends someplace, consider investing in a stand-alone cellar (Vinotemp, etc.) and leave the wine in it with your relatives.
