I agree. Enthusiastic, willing to learn and a sense of humour.

Good luck Barrelmonkey on your search for work.

I pay Jerry $15.50 an hour to lead the crew. Daniel is at $12.50. Good people, grow good grapes and that makes good wine and costs good money.

I NEVER use contract crews. (They usually make $8.50)

Rajiv has the day off today. Actually everyone does. The plan was to be at the Llama Vineyard in Bonny Doon, but the area has been evacuated and all the roads closed due to a forest fire.

The Llama Vineyard is on Country Estates, just off of Bonny Doon Rd, about 1/2 mile from the fire lines last I heard.

For obvious reasons Paul, I thought you would get a kick out of this. Just switch the states. Big Grin

A man owned a small winery in Oklahoma. The OK State Wage & Hour Department claimed he was not paying proper wages to his help and sent an agent out to interview him.

"I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them," demanded the agent.

"Well," replied the winery owner, "there's my winery hand who's been with me for 3 years. I pay him $200 a week plus free room and board.

The Chef has been here for 18 months, and I pay her $150 per week plus benefits.

Then there's the half-wit. He works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. He makes about $10 per week, pays his own room and board, and I buy him a bottle of bourbon every Saturday night. He also sleeps with my wife occasionally."

"That's the guy I want to talk to...the half-wit," says the agent.

"That would be me," replied the winemaker.

Moo

Think about how stupid the average person is. Then realize that half the people are stupider than THAT.

By definition 50% of the population is below the median intelligence level and all it takes to get elected is 50% + 1 vote.

I know the figure exactly. On a GAAP basis, I made $3 a week last year. or about 15 cents an hour. Smile
