Pretty much sums it up. I don't NEED the money, in fact, I enjoy filling up that 40 gallon diesel tank every week. I even let it run when I'm not actually driving, just so I can help out with the Global Warming and such. So, after much ado......here's the list of stuff going to auction, but before it goes, I figured I'd give everyone a shot at it first. If you don't want to ship now because it's too hot, I will hold the wines until it is cool.

Also, I took a $450 bath on a shipment of 4 bottles in December, when the Fedex driver decided that he would rather be drinking the wine instead of the guy that bought it. The guy that bought it didn't seem to understand what "buyer assumes all shipping risk" meant, and it was Christmas, so I ate it instead.

However, I'm not into throwing money away unless it's going into my diesel tank, so.........here it is:

BUYER ASSUMES ALL SHIPPING RISK

What does that mean? It means that once I receive payment for the wine, I am acting as your agent to ship said wine to you, on your behalf. As soon as I drop the package off at the shipper, the wine and all the responsibility for it is yours. You can use your own shipping account or I will ship on mine, but YOU OWN THE WINE. I will pack the bottles very well, and under most normal and a few abnormal conditions, they will arrive in perfect condition. I don't pack in noisy styro, so there will not be much heat protection, but the package will be quiet and hopefully unrecognizable to the shipping companies. I cannot prevent the drivers from running the package over with the truck, I cannot keep them from confiscating the package and drinking the contents on their back porch. Insurance is useless because the shipping companies will not pay on damaged or lost wine shipments.

Now I need to recover my thoughts and wine list and I'll post it below. Anyway, Hunter do I get the $20?

No. Sob story must be included. Make one up.

Wow. Forget money problems. Sounds like anger management time. You're an angry bastard.

That's what moving from Italy did to you. Razz

Ok. To those who don't get the banter. He is solid. I don't want to sabotage this good list and very fair prices. Good guy too (how am I doing for ya?)

Angry? Confused Where do you get that?

Grizzly Adams.......I've never had a beard in my life. Unless you consider that itchy mess from a week or two roughing it in the mountains to be a beard.

Sob story.......I have determined that I like money and a lot of other things more than wine, so I'm vastly reducing the cellar. How's that? It's the best I can do without lieing. Or I could say that I'm just making room for that case and a half of 2005 Bordeaux that should be coming in soon. Big Grin

WEC, I'm in CO.

Emails answered. I will update the list when I get confirmations from buyers.

Another e-mail sent.

In re: disclaimer

The seller packages well, despite the lack of styro. I recommend receiving shipments at a business address if you trust your colleagues.

That answer is inextricably contingent upon the type of life being led... and, of course, the quality of the pancakes.

wine arrived safe and sound today - excellent packing (they could have dropped it off a 2nd story building and it would have survived) and would definitely recommend foghorn as a seller to be trusted.

The wines arrived a few weeks back to a friends cellar- just had an opportunity to grab them last night. As with a previous transaction with FL, outstanding packaging with bottles arriving in great condition. Thanks again Foghorn!
