Just got my first offer from Peter Michael... Pretty expensive, so I solicit your advice on whether or not I should buy:

For 750s,
2005 Bell Cote Estate Chard @ $70
2005 La Carriere Estate Chard @ $75
2004 Les Pavots Estate Cab Blend @ $150

Anyone LOVE these wines?

I posted here because I thought I might offer to share my allocation if someone was interested, btw.

I threw mine in the trash. Those prices are absurd (especially for the chards). If I really want it, I can get it cheaper thru my local store. I only buy direct in blowout years where I think my local guy might not come thru and the ratings don't support that this year from what I've seen.

EekAs Holger B said, the chards are especially absurd----------but $150 for a 92/94 pointer for the 2004 which only qualifies you for the 2005 vintage and another $150+ wine with a 90/92 score!!?? Confused This is an easy decision!

This is yet another winery that is out of favor. Sure they have produced some excellent wines over the years but what have you done for me lately? Certainly not enough to justify the absurd prices. When someone brings a current Les Pavots to your dinner party it's like why? Just another clone that is boldly ripe and received 92 points. There are a lot of these 92 pointers out there and most cost in the $50-$100 range. This however will send you back a bill and a half. No thank you!

I appreciate the feedback!

I'm gonna exercise my right to opt out.
