Hi All.
Looking to sell a 55cm (55seat, 57 top c-c) Javelin Torgiano (sub 1kilo) hand built carbon frame, zero fork, all dura-ace gruppo, oval bars/stem/seatpost and Fizik saddle. NO WHEELS INCLUDED. $2500. Option for a Dura-Ace clincher front wheel and Powertap carbon hub laced to an open pro rear for an additional $850 (used and are in very good condition - new tires would be included). I also have a set of barely used Ultegra clinchers for $300. Might be willing to play a bit on price. A race bike in the US that was used around 30 days. New bar tape/cables/housing/chain included.

I can ship on the 20th. Sorry for the delay but I'm away from home for a bit and thought I'd get started. I'm up for swapping 800-1500 dollars worth of grape juice towards the total. Thinkin' mainly burgs, northern itals, rhones, us pinot/syrah/rhones, german/austrian riesling/gruner/gewurz...hmm. not much left out there.

Thanks!

Frischy,

I have just a few, well many, questions about the bike. What is the frame geometry? You said that this was a race bike that was used for 30 days. Was it ridden 30 days or RACED 30 days? If you’ve raced it 30 days it has no doubt been crashed. If so, what kind of frame and/or paint damage did it sustain? To the best of your knowledge, who made the frame? Was it Javelin, a high-end producer such as Time or Look, or a lower-end Taiwanese producer? What is the carbon modulus? If the gruppo is all Dura-Ace I’m assuming that the crank is as well? Is the crank 53/39 or a compact? What type of bottom bracket does the bike have? Who made the headset and is it integrated?

Thanks

Altaholic,
Good questions. First, the frame is custom from Javelin with a few things that will be incorporated into next year's model. Stiffer BB, top tube and replaceable dropouts. Geometry - 73/73 seat and head tube angles. Check http://www.javbike.com/beta2/road/torgiano.php for full info. This was a race bike that stayed in the US, ridden a total of about 30 days, raced about 20 of those. It hasn't been crashed (been lucky this year, on this bike. Snapped another one in half). It is a clearcoated carbon frame, so no paint to scrape. These frames are built by hand in Italy for Javelin. The gruppo is full D-A, regular 39/53 cranks, with the DA BB. The headset is FSA integraded.
Thanks!

ok, since you guys are mt bikers...Ive got a question. Ive got a Trek 8900 stock from 2001? Disc brakes have locked up from inactivity and Im sure other parts need replaced, chain ect. Any idea if this bike is still worth anything? It cost 2K new, I rode it recreationally for a couple years then it sat in storage in Montana for a couple years. Now I'd like to sell it if it has any value? Are there bike forums where someone may be interested? Thanks
