looking to upgrade my storage equipment and looking at Eurocave products. Had a question though- does stacking wine on top of each other cause any problems? seems like a lot of potential weight on the bottles on the bottom. Link attached showing an example.
Can you go wrong with Eurocave as a product?

I have zero concerns stacking bottles 3-4 high. I am picky about my labels getting bin scraped though. Thats the only issue I've ever had stacking bottles.

I have an EuroCave and I love it. No issues with weight. However, as you have probably noticed, all bottles are different size so that creates an interesting problem when stacking them. Most of the bulk of my bottles are Bordeaux but even then not all the bottles are exactly the same size. Good tetris exercise... Smile

If I had to do it all over again, I would not have spent the money on the rollouts...with all bottles being different sizes, I lost quite a bit of space by not going with the stacking approach...have a half mind to remove all the rollouts, drink a few 97 and 99's, and add another stacking shelf or two if I can...even adding some 375ml bottles now to fill in the extra space...have maybe 130 bottles in a Eurocave 260 and all I have left is room for some 375ml's...

I have a space issue and the Eurocave fits the space on the 104 bottle capacity model. Can anyone vouch for Avanti, Danby products?

I'm considering an Avanti model now bc the stacked bottle thing seems like it would be a hassle when trying to pull a bottle to drink. Anyone have any input on the larger Avanti products?

I just ordered an Avanti WCR682SS to replace the 102 bottle Haier piece of crap that I have had in my kitchen. I should have it in 7 business days or so, so expect a full report in about 3 or 4 weeks.

I know what you are saying, and yes, I wish I could have bought a Eurocave, but there's just no way I could have fit one in the space that this unit is going in. Frown

Hopefully this unit works a lot better than the Haier, but I don't think that will be a problem! -mJ
