Just curious. was the Bravante Cab really 2004? We have not even released that wine yet, and this was from February?

The 2005 Melville PN is an excellent wine at a very fair price. It's $28 at the winery.

Just one more sip.

the "lower" Melville's are always more expensive @ the winery then local... i found the 05' for around $21-22 and the Verna's in the $17-19 range at multiple places

The 2005 Verna's Viognier? Stock up! It's the best American Viognier I've ever had.

Just one more sip.

B-O, was it really that good? I can pick some up to add to the list but I just can't move the varietal here.

I assume you mean the 2005 Verna's Viognier. My notes from earlier this month when I tasted the wine with Ron:

"Named after Ron's mother. Nose of tropical fruit. Crisper than most CA Viogniers. Ripe pineapple flavors. Delicious. $22. Great QPR. The best US Viognier I've ever had. 94"

Just one more sip.

No heat? I was a bit off-put after having the estate PN last week. My experience with new world Viogners has been too much alc, but if it's not noticable, I'll give 'em a shot.

I'll be interested in your opinion. I found it atypical for CA Viognier.

Just one more sip.
