I am fairly new wine so I would like your opinion. I just received an offering for 2004 Diamond Creek at $140.00. Should I buy this? How good is this year? and will I have to cellar this for a few years?

Thanks.

2004 is a great vintage.

Let me add; If you have never had a Diamond Creek, you are missing a great wine. All the vineyard designations are amazing. Try currently available one from say....2002 and judge for yourself.

If it's anything like the DCs of decades past, you'll need to cellar it for decades. The 1984 Lake Vineyard bottling is still youthful, as are the 1978 and 1979 Gravelly Meadow and Volcanic Hill.

Just one more sip.
