KB is moving to a new facility near Sebastopol, and are not taking any appointments right now.

From the website:

"That's right, we are moving again! Up until now, we have been making Kosta Browne wines at other wineries, including Freeman and Deerfield Ranch. While these wineries have been fantastic hosts, there is nothing like making wine at our own winery. So that's what we are going to do! We plan on moving in to our renovated Sebastopol facility in the spring. Due to this move, we will be unable to host visitors until further notice. Thanks for your understanding!"

If you were fortunate enough to get to submit a wishlist to KB, take a look at KB.com. I was allocated 2 RRV's and 2 SC's just today. Looks like they're holding true to their promise and giving a taste to those on the waiting list. Oh the joy!!!

fatcity, You may have gotten mine because, believe it or not, I passed on submitting a wish list because I’m tired of waiting lists, etc......There are always other wines to drink and I refuse to become a point whore!!

Suit yourself. I have plenty of other wine to drink as well, but variety is the spice of life. And as far as point whores go, I love them all.... they allow me to drink for free!

They threw me a bone, too, with the 2 Rose Pinots from my wish list to go with my 2 & 2 Pinot allocation. I wish it had been the Syrah they had thrown my way, but...

I too received 2 SC and 2 RR today from my "wish list". Between that and the Scarecrow yesterday it's been a good week.

Hey, that's great! Glad to hear you say that. It gets me closer to an opportunity for a bottle or six of KB Pinot.
I just can see how being on a waiting list is being a "point whore" but I'm sure glad you view it that way.
Cool

Me too. Did you guys receive an e-mail notifying you that "you'd won" or did you have to check the website?

fatcity -
you can complain about point whoring all you want, but I opened a SVD from Kosta, it was the 2004 Kanzler, and I would stand barefoot in the snow for days for another taste of that pinot. Stay away from these points if you like, more for the rest of us that know this is truly quality S*%&!

EagleGrafix & PontetCanet,

I rec'd an email on 3/2 letting me know 6 bottles (2 Russian Riv, 2 Sonoma, 2 Rosé) would come my way. No action required. I'd given them my credit card info after I received the 2/6 email letting me know there might be wine available.

I got a first time allocation too. Went to the website that day and ordered 6 bottles (SC I think?). Got thru the whole thing of pumping in all my info and to the final step...then the transaction blew up, got some type of error. Too much of a waste of my time to go thru that again, plenty of other good wines to buy. So, I'm out.

Funny thing is that I got e-mails from them once a week telling me the deadline to order my allocation after trying to buy some and having it not work. I almost replied to those telling them what a POS their system is, but it's not worth it either.

Their system was overloaded from so many eager mailing-listers, so they took it off line for a couple days too get better servers. The ordering system was back up in a matter of days.

I responded to the email on Feb 6 immediately when I received it and placed a wish list order since I'm still on the wait list. They took my CC info and all.

My Accounts still shows my order as containing "wish list items pending processing" I will continue to have hope as long as my orders remains in that status or better. I know I will likely not get the quantity I ordered but they gave my the opportunity and I took it.

hope...hope...hope.....

Cool
