I found his profile and link to his website on Wine Searcher. Strange that the address listed is a residence on the north side of Chicago and the phone number listed is a Houston area code.

That sounds like all you need to know. Couldn't get a bigger red flag than that, unless the address was in Nigeria.
Remember to always aim high, that way you won't get any on your shoes.
I found out he use to work for HDH, but I think he is on his own now. The texas number and chicago address is unusual.

The Houston phone number is probably obsolete. The Chicago number can be found in here:
Maybe he's in Chicago but has a cell phone from Houston?
What's wrong with Binny's BTW? I intend to make by bi-annual pilgrimmage to one near the hotel and drop major coin. In fact, if any Canadian wants to join in so that we can get a case discount (presuming you intend to try to stay within sight of the Customs limits!) pls let me know.

Quite a few people keep there old cell phone numbers when they move rather than change them. That is what portability of numbers is all about. Keep your number. Take it with you. Several of my friends and those of my daughter have out of state numbers but live here in Plano.

I agree with keeping a personal cell number active when you relocate. Most people just have numbers programmed in an address book anyway.
However, do you really want to do business with someone using an out of state cell phone as their work line? I wouldn't give my credit card number or send a check to someone with a $5 website and a cell phone number. It's just not good business sense.
