My girlfriend has a special kind of glass that she wants. I need a good gift to make up for something stupid I forgot to do. This is what I seek:
A crystal wine glass (or two) that has an elegant look to it and is not tinted at all except for at the point where the bowl and stem meet. From above, looking directly down on the glass, a small colored region exists only in the center, but when viewing the glass from the side little if any tinting is visible. I thought she was describing a gemstone being embedded in the stemware, but she insists this is not it.
I have never seen such a glass but an enthusiast told me that he once had heard of such a thing. I am curious to know if anyone knows where I can see and purchase such a wineglass. Thanks,
