Please understand, I'l l pay a reasonable price. We East Coast slobs always loose out on the West Coast beauties. I am on the mailing list to get on their mailing list. My sommelier friend is actually on the list. We are getting closer.

It has nothing to do with location, there are several posters on this board from the East Coast that have been on the KB mailing list since the start.

You just to need be a bit more on the ball. Big Grin

Ratso,
What do you consider reasonable ? Have you checked out any of the Auction sites ?

I was lucky enough to find 2 restaurants in Tampa that both had the KB SC on their list at a resonable cost for a restaurant.

Great point, what do you want to pay? You used the word "philanthropy" in your first post. That said to me you were looking to pay close to cost for the wine.

There have been numerous bottles on WineCommune for the last few weeks. Whether or not you consider what other people are paying to be reasonable.......

I had 2 Marcassin PN Sonoma 3 Sisters Vineyard 2001 that I got from a friend who is a sommelier at a restaurant. I have never seen them for sale in my area (PA, NJ, DE). We drank them in the spring at my house. Very nice. Never asked the price since they were a gift. There are no Marcassin in the area, and I live in PA where we essentially cannot order outside of the state, so I am left with Pa, NJ, and Delaware. Sorry, can't accomodate.

Do you still want some (without dealing with the Marcassin)?

I guess I am "too little too late" but I located only 1 Marcassin Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast Vineyard 2001 for $90. I'll drink it myself. Sorry I missed the boat; maybe next time. I checked my 2001 Bordeaux and found none.

I drank it in Atlantic City with my wife and a couple friends. I figured a single bottle was not much use to me just sitting. I got lucky finding it. Also had a Peter Michael Les Pavots. The latter was better than the Marcassin. I almost snagged a 1999 Grange at a great price, but I was late getting to the seller. If I come across a Marcassin again, I'll let you know. I did not check my yahoo mail over the weekend. I was at the World Poker Tour in AC.
