$145 for a magnum of Cab Franc?

I enjoy buying select Pride merlots and cabs in the aftermarket when I see them at good levels.

I would never buy inferior varietals through them at these prices. I did not join their waiting/mail list years ago just to avoid being tempted at buying wine from them I knew I wouldn't want - especially at those prices.

Hunter, while I have not tried the wines listed, my thoughts also.

I think I will continue to look to Francois Villard Condrieu for my Viognier in this price range.

2004 Pride Mountain Cabernet Franc - USA, California, Sonoma County (5/8/2008)
Popped this to help "explore" the decision to order off the new mailer from Pride; it's making a persuasive case. Rich earth, beam of oak and slathered with purple fruit on the nose, it's even more diverse in the mouth. Could be too rich but well balanced with thick acidity, even minerality. Still chewy and tannic, only thing I found off putting was a medicinal note on the midpalate or so. Long finish that left me smacking my lips for more. Ok, hell, I'm in on the mailer, at least for more of this. (92 pts.)

I'm passing. Their wines do not justify their tariffs. There are others out there of equal or better quaity at better prices.
