I thought the 2000 was decent but not great for the price. I bought from the store and then threw away the mailer. This time I'm sending the mailer in, the 01 is supposed to be great.

I purchased a case of the '01 several months ago via retail for $39.95/ bottle Big Grin and liked it, but will not touch another for some time as it is a tannic beast.
Is it worth the $54.00? Considering the pricing these days...I would say yes.

It's the Cabernet of the year for me so far - Howell Mountain for sure, dense dense dense, and so tightly structured - but this is a sure thing -

I agree this is a very very good wine. Its huge and has very big tannins. This needs to be decanted for about 10 hours if you are to drink it now.

Ihad this wine once again but this time it was decanted for 4 hours. This is one truly amazing wine. We had it in a line up tonight against the Paoloma Merlot 01 and it blew it away. People liked it so much that some people were tracking it down right away and trying to buy some. I think this winery will really take off. Its another amazing wine from Howell mountain. The wine was sooo dark inky black in color. The wine in the mouth gave off layers upon layers of flavors. Intitial flavors were plum then black cherry and dark chocolate, the wine was tight even after 4 hours of decanting. But it did have very nice balance and a finish that was about 30 seconds. Stock up on this one its a buy.

Tracked down 6 more and picked them up for 49.99 each. I read where someone got them for 39.99 each I wish I knew where that was.
