Thanks for the positive feedback, Zinfully... much appreciated.

I am still awaiting word from a potential buyer of several wines I am wanting to sell, at which point I'll be updating the list once again.

Thanks to everyone who has purchased some of the wine I have for sale and for all who have taken the time to post their feedback.

Duck you're still selling off your wine? Haven't you completed your penance yet?

Sadly, no. I won't bore you with the details (trust me, you don't want to know). The good news is that the list of wines I have for sale is only a portion of what I have on hand. I do need to sell what I can but, heeding the sage advice of a good and valued friend, I am keeping everything in perspective as much as possible, which to me means that I'm certainly not planning on purging the entire contents of my cellar.

Thanks Markiemark... much appreciated! And thanks to everyone who's bought some wine; I really appreciate it. I will update the list in the very near future. First, though, is my annual trip out to Portland to hang out with my brother, visit some wineries and do some Pinot tasting with him, drink some good wine together (mostly his this time!), and head down to Eugene to get crazy at a Ducks game. Needless to say, I have been anxiously awaiting (and needing) this trip for a long time.

Are you going out for the Arizona game? I've been to Autzen a few times and it is truly one of the best places in the country to see a college football game. And this will be the rare Arizona game that means something to BOTH teams! Should be a good one...I guess I can't say "good luck", but I hope you have a good time!

Hey AZCat... Have you guys taken care of the sewer smell coming from your lower levels yet?

Yes, my brother has season tickets and I try to make it out for at least one game a year. This year it's Oregon vs. Arizona and while I'm there I'm hoping to meet up with duck833. And you're absolutely right, as both teams are 7-3 (I believe) this is definitely an important game for both of them. Autzen really is one of the best places to see a game and the fans are as rabid as they come. Very loud and intimidating setting for most any visiting team to deal with.

I hate to say it but as much talent as this Oregon team has they make an awful lot of mistakes, ones that have cost or nearly cost them games. They absolutely can't afford to make such mistakes against an underrated Arizona team. Should be a good game.

Your wine has shipped, by the way! Cool

Yeah, that cleared out a couple of years ago after we got all of the ASU fans out of the stadium... Big Grin

In all seriousness, I enjoy the rivalry but don't have quite the same hatred of ASU that some fans have (and vice versa). I've lived in or near Tempe for a good part of my life, love the area and have a number of close friends who are Sun Devils, so for me while I certainly partake in the rivalry it's pretty much all in good fun.

Although now that ASU is also better than us in basketball and softball I might have to rethink that stance...

Bear Down!

We're the same way - we often don't play to our talent level under Stoops, who seems to be a very good recruiter but not such a good coach.

I always enjoyed the Duck fans - loud and intimidating, but rarely downright mean (unlike Washington fans...)

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone... I really appreciate it.

I arrived in Portland yesterday and last night my brother and I enjoyed a killer meal at our favorite restaurant (El Gaucho) while committing infanticide on a couple of his '05 Cali Cabs (Ghost Block Oakville, Hewitt).

Tomorrow we'll be visiting a bunch of wineries in the Willamette Valley on our way to Eugene for Saturday's game against Arizona.

I think I'm in heaven. Smile

duckfan -

I loved what I've had from my last purchase from you (the Cinq Cepages and, even moreso, the Bonaccorsi). I'll probably make another, although smaller, purchase. Email forthcoming!

AZD

PS - congrats on the bowl win and to all of us for a 5-0 conference bowl record!
