I have 4 (sealed) cases of 2005 Mouton-Rothschild that were purchased directly from a wine importer and have been stored in a temp and humidity controlled cellar. Willing to part with at wholesale prices...a great buying opportunity for future drinking or investing. If interested please email me at patespo@hotmail.com.
Thank you for your interest. I am asking $8400 per case, which is wholesale plus Paypal costs. Shipping would be up to you. Compared to prices on Wine.com, I think I am very reasonable. Individual bottles would be $750 a bottle.
FYI, I am a restaurant owner in Northeast Ohio that bought and picked up the wine directly from one of my distributors, and have had it in a temp and humidity controlled cellar the entire time. I can provide references from any number of people that I do business with if necessary. This is the first time that I am selling wine through the Wine Spectator.
I also have a number of other '05 Bordeaux, if you have an interest.
Lafite
Lynch Bages
Pape Clement
Angelus
Figeac
Valandraud
Leoville Las Cases
I can provide quantities and prices as well if you are interested.
Thank you for your response, if you need more info or my cell # just ask
Anyone wanting a case of 2005 Mouton-Rothschild can go to Wine-Searcher.com and easily purchase the same case from a private party in San Francisco for $489/btl. Other reputable online retailers have it for as little as $549/btl. Not trying to pop your balloon, but you should research the value of your wine before posting it on a forum full of know-it-alls.
Good Luck!

I appreciate the input...and I do know the lows and highs out there, as well as what I paid for the wine, and what I can afford to sell it at...good drinking!
So you can afford to sell it at $750 per bottle and not less and you own a restaurant and bought it from a distributor? You must have a seafood restaurant. Profiteers don't do too well here.
Just one more sip.

Wow, i didn't realize everyone would be up in arms over trying to get my investment back on some wine I bought...I suppose I'll just hold it and drink it with my 1 yr old son in 20 years...keep the input coming though...
Nobody's up in arms. We just realize you're here trying to turn a profit on wines your business bought from a distributor. You're not here to get your investment back.
Just one more sip.

That isn't such a bad option. You could be in worse shape like me and not have the $500 or $750 per bottle to drop on it.
But, in the end, you probably won't find a taker here if you are $200 above Wine Searcher. Tell your one year old son he is going to have one hell of a 21st birthday and hope he appreciates it (judging from my 21st, I would highly advise against letting him drink it at that point), or wait for the economy to get much better. Good luck, though.

In fact, based on Ohio's state-mandated $1000 retail price for '05 Mouton, and Ohio's state-mandated minimum markup, Ohio wholesale on this is $666/bottle making a case $8K before any fees and such... so, while his price certainly isn't competitive, it is just about right. Good thing we have Ohio's distributors to look out for us.
... and that's why you don't buy Bordeaux (or much else beyond everyday wines) in Ohio.
