So I'm staying at the Delta Bow Valley here in downtown Calgary. Having stayed at the Delta Chelsea in Toronto just last month, I had high hopes for this place. Today, in between meetings, I had picked up a half bottle of Vincent Girardin Santenay 2005 to sip on while catching up on some work in my room. Much to my dismay, this huge downtown hotel does not have a single proper wine glass! The bartender at the lounge said the hotel used to have proper stemware, but management switched to the clunky IKEA specials because of breakage. Sigh...guess I'll head to the Bay tomorrow and pick up a Spiegelau Burgundy glass (it's on sale). Maybe I'll ask the hotel to take the $14 off my bill!

Ask about the stemware first before buying the wine to safe any hassle and frustration.

I do not travel anywhere without a couple stems from home. Always carry on plane trips too.

Traveling is basically the only thing 2-packs of Riedel "O"s are good for! Compact, and easy to toss in your carry-on luggage!

Yeah...I bring the O's to restaurants, but I think I'll travel with them from now on.

Just my personal prejudice, but I can't include the "O's" in any "stem"ware catagory.
