On ebay is a private wine collection for sale (2380547780) and one of the wines is a 1979 Chateau Soulard, I can't find any info on it or its worth. Is it a Chateau that merged with another? Or one that went belly up? I would appreciate any info that you might know about this wine. Thanks.

never heard of it. I'd ask the person putting the wine on EBAY to describe it in more detail.
The main chef at the Chateau de Frontenac in Quebec is M. Soulard, so perhaps he knows about it.
But, I would opine, that without knowing more, paying alot of $ for a 25 year old wine, without knowing the storage is risky.

There is a Cht. Soutard(St Emilion) making average wine(1979 is an average Bordeaux vintage-now mostly over the hill). Maybe it is a misprint.
