C_F,

If you could edit the title for future search purposes, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

2004 Vall Llach Embruix Priorat - Had one of these a couple years ago and it was youthful, hot and a bit hazardous. Tonight, the fruit is much more apparent and thick with obvious oak. Still a bit hot with a long unfocused finish. All in all, much improved over 2 years ago.

Good, man, had to miss the CDP, which I'm bummed about. Otherwise, doing pretty well---heading to far north No. Cal this weekend for a reunion with old friends. Hope things are fine in your world.

I didn't know that many other people knew about this beer...it is fantastic. I love the Matilda, too.

I bought the Matilda, took a swig, and the carbonation shot out my nose and felt like it was trying to make a beeline for my cerebellum. Maybe I got a bad bottle, tasted pretty good, once I worked through the foam. Weird.
