With cooler weather just around the corner, I reviewed my records in order to make sure I know everything that should be shipping this fall. I've got 12 cases on the way. Eek

I know that's not much for many of you. But for me, it's quite a bit. I need to make sure there is enough room at the offsite. Otherwise, I'm gonna have some splainin' to do to get that much wine into the house.

I love CellarTracker just for that - makes it easy to see what's on tap. I'm in the same range, depending on what's arrived.

Dunno about you, but I try to push shipping season until late October or early November - even though we've had a cooler summer, it can still get hot during the day till then.

I should be at 68 but I'll likely be ordering some stuff over the next two weeks increasing that balance just before shipping season starts here.

I need to get out my credit card and try to figure it out. Between all the futures, that I don't know when they'll come; club shipments;and orders that I've placed since late May when shipping shut down, I am at a total loss.

I'm going to be gone the first of Oct for a couple of weeks straight on business. NO telling what may await me when I return.

Damm Skippy, I need to pull out the old CC statements to figure out what comin in the next couple of months. However, in the OC we probably still have couple of months of heat before I would give the vendors the green light to ship.

It'll be awhile before shipping opens in Nashville. I have over 200 bottles to ship. Hopefully my cellar will be completed on time (November 15) and everything can ship there about.

I keyed in a few things I missed previously yesterday (i.e. PURPLE's Carlisle order and the 2007 Giusto Notri I ordered the day before) and I'm up to 74 and climbing. I'll likely hit at least a 100 before I receive my first shipment this Fall.

I fear we're still a ways off from shipping season here (should reach 104 this week). But I just realized that when the time is right (I'm thinking November) I've got 6 cases on the way. And space for...mmm...maybe 2! Eek

Sounds like we need to drink some of your wine to make room AZCAT.

Perhaps during a victory party for the ASU win over Georgia on Saturday?

An excellent idea! And as much as it pains me to admit this publicly I'll be rooting for the Devils. I hate the SEC. I also hate the Big 10, the Big 12, the Big East, the ACC and Notre Dame (I have plenty of hate to go around), but I have extra hate for the SEC...

Why all this hatred? Is it because you reside in the "Pac-2"?? Awwwww.......Hook'em! Oh, as far as the subject goes, I have dramatically decreased my shipments and will be utilizing Wine-searcher once the cooler months arrive. Lots of good deals out there the past yr.

Forgive me, I'm an Arizona fan who is not happy with the state of our football program, and I'm taking it out on everyone else.

Oh, and the "Pac 2" is the conference that went 5-0 in bowl games last season against the other conferences, including 4 wins against BCS-conference teams - Penn State (Big 10), Pitt (Big East), Oklahoma State (Big 12) and Miami (Big East) - and my Wildcats' "upset" victory over BYU (Mountain West). It's also the #1 rated Sagarin conference (for what that's worth) with a 19-6 non-conference record so far this season...

Thread Drift Over.

I have about 50 that will come home to roost once the weather is right. I'm trying not to add to that number as I've already spent more than I wanted to this year. On the positive side, this will be the fourth straight year I've reduced my average bottle price for purchases (though the third straight year my total money spent has risen).

I just snuck 2 cases in from a local store whilst the wife was pre-occupied. 12+ more cases (plus whatever I buy from KB when that allocation comes out) to go this season...

I have about 3 cases worth of wine from multiple sources that I am SO ready to receive in a few months. Also, I will start monitoring the selling section on the forums in a few weeks...

Coming to the Wildcat game in November. Hope the drunken AZ students are a little nicer than last trip, probably will bring some pepper spray to assist in getting out of there.

Yes, it's tough to live up to the classy standard that Duck fans set at Autzen and The Pit... Wink

I'd love to invite you to our tailgate and offline a little, but sadly I'll be in Maui that week... Big Grin
