I should finally be offered a decent amount this year.
Just teaser amounts of the single vinyards for the past three.
$72.00 / plus shipping. Others say that the shipping fees are a little high - I really couldn't care less about that. I forget about all of the $ after I open the box and file the bottles away in my Vinotemp box. My wife LOVES it - I like it a lot and that's all I need to think about!!!! cheers, Paul

Theoretically I'll be receiving my way too large allocation and will be passing quite a bit of that along to the locals at my cost.

I'll take my allocation again, and since I usually only buy wines like these in threes anyway, my allocation is slightly bigger than what I'll need/want, and I'll pass a few on to local friends. No-brainer, IMO.

Looks like I will be getting some, probably more than I need. Whine-oh, you are welcome to anything that I don't want.

Seems I haven't moved from the regular mailing list to the SV list yet either, unfortunately. What I was most surprised about was that I wasn't even given the opportunity to "wish list" any. I guess they give people already getting the SV's the chance to request more, rather than let the regular mailing list have a crack at it? Anyone know if this is the case? Would love to get to try some of these finally.

I think the appellation wines and SVDs are technically separate lists.

Struck out yet again... But hey, at least this time they didn't tell me I had received an allocation only to crush my hopes and dreams a few hours later with a follow on email letting me know the first one was sent out in error.

I was half hoping last years 'oops' would leave them feeling bad enough to throw a few bottles my way.

WIML,

drop me a line if all of your allocation isn't yet spoken for; I'm definately interested in picking up some bottles; I'm shut out for the 4th year in a row since getting the appellations.

You should have my email if not let me know.

Will do T Dub. Once I receive the allocation in October and give 1 local first crack at it (he's helped me a ton in the past so he gets first dibs each order, even before me) I'll let you know. There should be plenty to go around.

They didn't even send me the "no wine for you" post card. I'd have bought the allocation if it was offered, but I'm not going to contribute to the hype by buying some on the secondary market.

Not to worry, Ron. The secondary market won't be driving up the price - just helping folks to keep their place in line.

Indybob;

The wine has its lovers and haters. There seems to be very little middle ground. Those loving it are zealots. Those of us that don't, really really dislike the style.

What is "the style," and is it that different from other full-throttle pinots??
