Theoretically I'll be receiving my way too large allocation and will be passing quite a bit of that along to the locals at my cost.

I'll take my allocation again, and since I usually only buy wines like these in threes anyway, my allocation is slightly bigger than what I'll need/want, and I'll pass a few on to local friends. No-brainer, IMO.

Looks like I will be getting some, probably more than I need. Whine-oh, you are welcome to anything that I don't want.
---------- "Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shame. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams . If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."

I think the appellation wines and SVDs are technically separate lists.

WIML, drop me a line if all of your allocation isn't yet spoken for; I'm definately interested in picking up some bottles; I'm shut out for the 4th year in a row since getting the appellations. You should have my email if not let me know.

Will do T Dub. Once I receive the allocation in October and give 1 local first crack at it (he's helped me a ton in the past so he gets first dibs each order, even before me) I'll let you know. There should be plenty to go around.

Not to worry, Ron. The secondary market won't be driving up the price - just helping folks to keep their place in line.

Indybob;
The wine has its lovers and haters. There seems to be very little middle ground. Those loving it are zealots. Those of us that don't, really really dislike the style.

What is "the style," and is it that different from other full-throttle pinots??
