I tried the 2006 Sonoma Coast on Saturday night and, while it is the best of KB's that I have ever tried (due to alcohol and, to my taste, super overextraction), I would not seek it out to pay retail. If this runs to your taste for Pinot Noir, then the Sonoma Coast is better than the 03/04, due to better balance, less syrup and nice, dark fruit. But, in looking at the lower scores from the critics compared to the 03/04/05, that shows you where I stand in comparison to them.

Drink wine, and you will sleep well. Sleep, and you will not sin. Avoid sin, and you will be saved. Ergo, drink wine and be saved.

The price of KB soesn't bother me.

What bothers me is that they are -for lack of a better phrase- simply too much. Doesn't really resemble a pinot. Not even close to what I am looking for in one, anyway.
