Can you please post the wines here or on the website (type and vintage) that each winery will be pouring in NYC at the Grand Tour event Tuesday May 2?

Even if its just what is expected, that would help greatly in deciding which wines one wants to taste...because there is no way to taste them all.

I feel sure they can't do that, but I think you would enjoy the event and not be disappointed in the quality of the wines. They do show the Winerys who will participate on their brochure. I have attended the 02, 03,& 04 events and enjoyed them. It is a great opportunity to try some excellent wines.

Below is a link to the wineries participating, and while it doesn't detail specific wines, latour67 is correct, Wine Spectator has given excellent reviews to all of the wines being poured.

Thanks Tim. I also emailed events@mshanken.com and was told a .pdf will be released with the floor layout showing where the wineries will be, but the email was vague as to whether that .pdf would show which exact wines will be poured.

I know I'll have fun either way (I went last year and it was great) but it really would be nice to know the exact wines. The books given out at the show have that info...and we get those at the door... and they must be printed already...or at least submitted for printing...so maybe the info could be made available sooner?

Please consider it.

Many thanks!

I received the .pdf file today and it does not list the wines/vintages. I second what Latour said, it is a great event and I have attended the last 3 events. My wife and I are attending the NYC event this year.

Many Wine Spectator staff members will be attending the Grand Tour events, both in NYC and Las Vegas. We would love to meet our Forum contributors -- please introduce yourselves!

I was under the impression you will also be coming to SF. Yes?

The NYC and LV events are part of Wine Spectator's Grand Tour tastings. Those are one night only tastings that feature some of the best wineries from all over the world.

Wine Spectator will be doing their California Wine Experience October 19 -21, 2006 at the San Francisco Marriott. That event will feature two nights of tasting of some of Califonia's best wineries, along with various seminar tastings during the day. Then there's a huge dinner (with entertainment) to close out the event Saturday night.

All of these events are amazing. There's so much great wine you really have trouble figuring out a tasting strategy. And you could go to either of the Grand Tour events, and still attend the Wine Experience and not feel like you had much overlap.
