I'll be in the same spot, especially considering the jogging and water, tomorrow.

on a side note:
im enjoying a 2000 cab suav magnum from summerhill

The Margaux was my favorite wine. It showed so well and looks like it can go another 20 years easy.

2003 Domaine Serene Jersuleum Hill Pinot

1998 Staglin Family Vineyard Cab Sav.

I'm normally a vintage guy. 1998 was a poor vintage. This wine was absolutely fabulous. I'd give it an easy 94-95. Should probably post something on TNs, may yet.

Dark hue in color, wonderful fruit of dark fruit and currants. A little leather and cedar on the edges. Everything was completely integrated. A mouthful of wine that finished long and so brilliantly. This wine is tremendous now and can be enjoyed over the medium term.

Raving about the Staglin doesn't give justice to the Domaine Serene. This wine shows the heat of the 03 harvest, but with bright ripe cherry (not overly done) and well developed tannins. Super nice mouthful with a long smooth finish. Everything in perfect balance. SF says a 92 with a drink over the medium term.

Always good to see both PURPLE and wiml, and we even worked in a little ART talk. Smile

Thanks for opening the wines. Nice little summer quaffers in this killer heat we're having.

Thoroughly enjoyed the art and talk of our travels to Italia.

Wiml, we will have to do it again soon. Perhaps this Fall when we can sit in the courtyard, and even turn on the fire. Smile

w+a

I posted a few TN.
The Pol Roger, in my opinion, still needs time. It was good but you could tell there's much more.
The Gimonnet (no dosage) was, I believe, an off bottle. Really flat with interesting green olives notes.
The Morot exploded after 1h in the bottle. Nice Burg.
The Kirwan starts to be tired.

2008 Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. I don't understand the hype with this one. Or maybe I'm getting out of my SB phase.
