Was this the regular or the Conca? How was it showing?

It was the regular and it was on life support. A simple but elegant barolo. Drink up.

Having this tonight, and agree with you - this is starting to drink very well. Has still many years ahead of it, though. And, I still believe it will develop nicely the next 5 years.

Thanks again for your heads up on this one Smile

2005 Leitz Rudesheimer Magdalenenkreuz Spatlese- a fairly sweet one with some mineral and very subtle petrol notes.

2004 Two Hands Bella's Garden- drinking very well right now. Excellent.

A wonderful evening with Mr. and Mrs. Tanglenet and Mrs. Lizardking and I:

1990 Chateau La Fleur De Gay and a 1986 Cos d'estournel.

Both showed really well. The Cos showed better towards the end, while the La Fleur was nice from the start.

Both the wines and the company were a great pleasure.
