How was this showing? I've been quite reluctant to open my 04s and am anxious to hear your feedback...
KSC02, this was not my wine... I brought the Champagne. I would not open this wine currently. It was a wonderful wine, wonderful, but I clearly think more is to come without question. I still think the Pingus Flor de Pingus is the wine to buy here. They can be stunning, drink sooner and cost what the tax cost for the Pingus.

2003 Las Rocas VV 2008 Castillo de Fuente. Thought I'd give this Monastrell from Valencia a try. Thin and a bit green the first night. Got more interesting today after two days stopped on counter and opened up a bit. Nothing stellar, but for $6.99 what the hell.

Last drink I had was a Bear Republic Racer 5 (IPA). Hey, it's hot out! Actually, the last wine opened was a 2000 Snoqualmie (Washington state) Merlot.

It showed very very well with the grilled steak. I might even be inclined to say it showed the best of my bottles of this to date (typical for the last one).

Glad it showed well, and my mistake. It is the Flor de Pingus that lays in my cellar. I've none of the big brother.

Let me guess...your hands were tied behind your back and a funnel was stuck in your mouth.
