Touché! Seriously though, Amarone late last night, or as a quick wake-me-up after sunrise?

The wife opened up an 06 Betz La Cote Rousse over the weekend while I was away. I'm finishing it off with pizza. Surprisingly it's still in good shape. The wine was way to young to open in the first place.

1999 Torbreck Steading, suprisingly good, though with a slight bitter and somewhat clipped finish.

2006 Hogue Cellars 'Genesis' Syrah Columbia Valley At $8.99, this was probably one of the best QPR syrahs I've had. With a very large production on this wine, I'd highly encourage you to seek it out and, what's more, it's usually easily found at large, non-wine focused supermarkets. Yum!
Cheers!
