Back mid Summer there was quite a lengthy thread that discussed 'concerns' of WineCommune paying slowly and possibly having issues delivering purchased wine.

I'll be d*mned if I can find it. However, just wanted to mention, I had 17 bottles of various purchases made throughout the Summer. Just got the email from JJBuckley today that they're ready to ship upon receiving instructions (with a link to the accounts/storage site).

The link didn't work well for me. Nothing showing. I noticed their site has an instant help/chat feature and selected it. It was responded to very quicly and they confirmed that the 17 bottles are accounted for and ready to ship on Monday. Couldn't have been easier.

Seems to me, while JJBuckley can be a bit disorganized at times, things seem to be ticking along just fine right now. No worries from my end. Hopefully, everyone else has a similar experience. I'd say, 'no worries'. Smile

I've bought from them numerous times and never had any unresolved problems. The last shipment I had in April was sitting on a truck 10 miles from my house over the weekend when we had unusually warm weather that hit the mid-90's. They shipped another one out before getting back the cooked one. If you are dealing with Mike Supple, I doubt you will have any lingering problems.

Or phone/email. For sure they're just gearing up for the mailing season. No worries, mate. Smile

I'm not impressed, to say the least.

One thing they did do well, was bill my credit card within hours of my winning bid. Wink

Using the link provided I found that JJBuckley still has an assorted case of my WineCommune auction winnings that was 2nd Day Aired to me in July (of which 3 have already been consumed) in storage and ready to ship. However, there are 11 other assorted bottles I won from other JJBuckley auctions this past Summer that aren't listed there and haven't been delivered. So I, for one, wouldn't be to quick to give them credit for getting it together yet.

Too funny. That link shows I still have on order and ready to ship a bottle I canceled over a year ago.

They are disorganized, but I truly feel they have good intentions and aren't trying to do shady business. It took a long time for me to resolve my issue which I posted on this summer, but it was resolved. Apparently they have recently changed around people in their accounting department and are working on getting things running smoother.

I'll keep buying and selling with them, but it adds to my piece of mind that I can leave my house and be at their office in under an hour if I get too worried about anything.

These things do happen.
For the longest time, after they'd been shipped to me already, Vinfolio still showed me having (2) 2001 Fuligni BdM Riserva and (4) 2005 Clos des Papes Cdp waiting to ship out.

I'm not trying to overly support JJBuckley (I've had my issues with them in the past, though resolved eventually). I'm just willing to cut them a little slack.

These guys are really backed up for some reason. My lots were purchased a month or so ago and held because of weather. If yours are more current and they are inept, that might explain why their system is not updated.

No, mine were purchased in June and July. The July purchase is the one showing. I'll have to find out wtf is up.

FWIW: NONE of my holdings showed up, over several months of purchases. A simple IM with a sales consultant on their site cleared this up very quickly and simply. Their offline records were completely correct.

Just contact them directly. I really wouldn't stress over it.

I think these guys suffer from inadequate IT systems and a failure to integrate their applications and databases (This is where all of the IT gurus on this board chime in). Given the type of business they are in, they need to step up to the plate with their applications or risk alienating a large part of their customer base. This is the internet, instant information world afterall.

Picked up my wines today, about 3 cases, with no problem. I live in the Bay Area and find them easy to do business with as they have been responsive to problems and have resolved them in a timely manner.

I do not know of a site where I can get better deals on wine.

I have 3 cases of 05 futures with them. IM'ed them, gave me a clear status, asked if I wanted a partial ship, or wait for the last three to come in.

Couldn't have been easier

Regarding the '05 Bordeaux futures from WC/JJB - has ANYONE received ANY bottles from ANY '05 Bordeaux futures order?

Yes, I received my 2005 Fleur Cardinale and Rolland Cuvée futures from JJBuckley back in February. While I've found JJBuckley/WC to be disorganized at times they've always made good for me.

Yes, NYC, I think we have all seen that thread by now, and it has no bearing on my question whatsoever.
