I have an anniversary dinner coming up and will be spending the evening at n.v. in Napa. As my experience with Burgundy is EXTREMELY limited, I am looking for some help.

I have the following wines ready to go:

1995 Domaine Bertagna Chambertin
1995 Dominique Laurent Mazis-Chambertin
1995 Dominique Laurent Vosne-Romanée Les Beaumonts 1er Cru
1995 Domaine Denis Mortet Clos de Vougeot
1995 Domaine Daniel Rion et Fils Clos de Vougeot

Except for the Rion, I have multiple bottles of each. Based on the food, I am looking for something on the softer side, more delicate.

Suggestions? Thanks!!!!!!

I think the Vosnee-Romanee is going to be the softest and most delicate of that group. I've had the 96 recently and it was pretty silky with a really earthy funk.

I think all the rest may need time, maybe the Mortet would be the next closest. I've had a couple 95 Vougeot's in the past two years from Meo and Girardin, and thought the tannins still needed time on both.

Is the Mazis Cuvee A or Cuvee B? If it's the B I think your 2011 anniversary is probably more in line with that bottle.
