Ditto. I have a hard enough time buying all of the wine that I currently want. I'm sure that it is good stuff, but it has no track record and is too pricey.

I'd rather take that $150/bottle and pick up a lot of Neal, Shafer, etc, etc. Once money is no longer an issue to me, then we'll talk! Wink Big Grin

So, brocolli, Mother says you're very good for me. Well, I'm afraid I'm no good for you!

Parker has the 01 rated 95 & 98 Points. I will see what the option is to buy them on the mailer. I would get two of each.

Pyang-

Will do. I'm curious if I'll get another offer, as I did not purchase the last time.

I passed on the last one as well, and most likely will do the same for the next one if I get it. I never signed up for the Bond mailer but they still sent me one, I guess they just took everyone on the Harlan list and put them on the Bond....I'll keep you in mind pyang.

Some people have more money than sense.
Others have lots of money and a lot of sense.
I've got more sense than money.
I won't be buying any.
I imagine there will be lots of people who fall into the first 2 categories that snap this all up very quickly.

The modest water, awed by power divine, beheld its God and blushed into wine. - John Dryden

Looks like they will be doing what Harlan does raise the price 25 bucks a bottle each year. Next year it appears they will be 200 each.

Does anyone think that by declining the BOND offering it will effect the future offerings of Harlan Estate ?

If you aleady got cut back to only one bottle of the Estate in 2001, does it really matter? (insert sarcastic gremlin here).

Does the Pope s*it in the woods?

If a man speaks in the forest, and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

Just a few other random (sarcastic) thoughts that also do not matter (to me).

Very good point with being cut back to 1 bottle on the Harlan. So you really have to spend 1k on Bond to try and get more then one bottle of the Harlan. That does not make economic sense.

My guess is that if you pony up $100,000 to join their "owner-operator" club you get more than 1 bottle! Eek Roll Eyes Eek

If your rich its not a bad deal when you leave you get your 100k back. Worst part is missing the interest on it.
