agreed. i've only touched one of my '10's so far and it didnt really hit its stride until the 3rd day. Is the '11 a case buy?

I bought this solely because it was from C-M. After this purchase I finally started listening to wiser voices who kept saying "In Burgundy, producer is everything".

2005 Château de la Maltroye Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos du Chateau. Thought I'd try another bottle. It had a bit of funk initially, which blew off quickly, then opened up nicely over a couple of hours to where it was excellent. Could also be the vineyard as well producer.

I have limited experience with Rhone Whites in general, but this didn't seem "closed down" after a couple hours of air. The wine definitely had some redeeming qualities (excellent oily texture), but the flavor profile wasn't for me. No worries...

I'd like to taste a bottle with some age on it to get a good comparison. Any suggestions on vintages that are currently showing well?

surprisingly doing well......maybe better then me i really think it is in a perfect place right now! it was from 375ml and it was nice dark golden color. very nice balance of fruit and acid. taste of honey and apricot with nice long finish.
