I had a 2008 Vietti Tre Vigne Barbera d'Alba tonight. Quite acidic, but still have some red fruit charm.

2006 Tablas Creek Espirit de Beaucastel

While the pessimist and optimist were discussing whether the glass was half empty or half full, I drank it.

1992 Dominus. Good but not as great as previous bottles. (cork was very dry?) Fruit was there but I felt the acidity was too sharp. I'll look forward to the next one.

Sorry to hear it, mangiare. It's the best Dominus I've ever had.

Just one more sip.

Board-O, I've enjoyed numerous bottles and never got the feeling that it was fading. VinT and I enjoyed one this summer that was singing.
My opionion was it was a slightly off bottle. I have another case to figure it out. Big Grin

2002 Spottswoode - what a beauty. I wouldn't open my next one for a few years (wish I had a next one)

The - web, I fondly remember you opening a bottle of 2002 Spottswoode the first time we met at Crush. I have one in my cellar and it has your name all over it my friend. Anytime.

This bottle was nice, but not as evolved as the bottle I had in August - which was gorgeous.

2004 Pago de los Capellanes Ribera del Duero Reserva – Made in a modern style, but nicely balanced. Nothing earth shattering, but a tasty wine with pizza.

Very nice, but isn't it time for our brotherly family reunion soon? It's been too long.

Pound for pound (or dollar for dollar I guess) Stoller produces some of the best Pinots out there IMO.

Do you mind telling me how much you paid? The LCBO has the 2007 vintage for $36.
