Last night at Roentgen Ray's house with some local wine enthusiasts, we had a Burgundy-grapes-themed offline and enjoyed the following:

2009 Chehalem Chardonnay INOX
2009 Beaux Frères Pinot Noir Beaux Frères Vineyard
2008 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Koplen Vineyard
1991 Alain Hudelot-Noellat Clos Vougeot
1995 Domaine Leroy Clos de Vougeot
1990 Louis Jadot Beaune 1er Cru Avaux

They were a few other wines sprinkled in, but I either didn't taste or don't recall names/labels.

I don't believe anyone took notes; however, all three Burgundy wines were very nice - with the '91 and '95 showing the very best.

RR's beef brisket was outstanding as well. Cool

Couple wines of late:

2001 Gamba Old Vines Zinfandel; tired bottle and I'm a bit suspect this bottle was compromised by a faulty cork.

1990 Sierra Cantabria Rioja; another steal from Winebid that I won for $6.

What did you think? Have had the NH Chardonnay a couple of times. Good but, for me, quite lean.

Liked it, not sure the QPR is there though. Has a great chard funk without any flab. I like my chards lean, but not thin and that's about where this hits.

Glad to see you are back in the saddle (so to speak). Good wines to saddle up with.
