2009 Justin Isosceles- solid juice that could use some time in a dark, cool space.

I love his wines....it could use a bit more time but I just got a case of this last week and had to check in on it.
This isn't quite as good as the 2009 right now but I will give the rest of my bottles a few more months and then see where they are at.
In my mind, Lapierre is a master of Morgon

All logic would dictate that this is closed right now, yes?

How was this one VinT?

Meh. I hope their Clos du Chateau is better.

I bought this solely because it was from C-M. After this purchase I finally started listening to wiser voices who kept saying "In Burgundy, producer is everything".

2005 Château de la Maltroye Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos du Chateau. Thought I'd try another bottle. It had a bit of funk initially, which blew off quickly, then opened up nicely over a couple of hours to where it was excellent. Could also be the vineyard as well producer.

I have limited experience with Rhone Whites in general, but this didn't seem "closed down" after a couple hours of air. The wine definitely had some redeeming qualities (excellent oily texture), but the flavor profile wasn't for me. No worries...

I'd like to taste a bottle with some age on it to get a good comparison. Any suggestions on vintages that are currently showing well?

Happy birthday, young guy! That's quite a list. How was the '62 Suduiraut? I haven't had a '62 Sauternes in many years.

Just one more sip.

The 1972 Inglenook Petite Sirah sounds very interesting to me. How did this one drink?
