I will be in Beaver Creek (near Vail) the 1st week in August and wanted to know if there are any good wine shops in the area with a good selection and fair prices. Any info is appreciated. Thx.

Colorado in the summer is GREAT.

We always drive though, so take our own wine for the week.

Have a great visit IW.

Big Grin LOL! If you happen to drive through Denver, there are several places I can recommend (Apple Jack's - actually Wheat Ridge in the direction of Vail, Argonauts, The Vineyard Wine Shoppe, Primo Vino - Arvada), but Beaver Liquors looks like so much fun, these 'wine' shops may not interest you. There's a great pizza place across the street from Beaverliquors called Pazzo's pizza. Some of the best Pizza I've ever had. The locals (ie real people, not the Beaver Creek crowd) all eat their pizza there.

Also, IIRC Colorado does not allow BYO.

This is true (stupid laws!) At least we can buy more than 3.2 beer on Sundays now though!

Yeah, I remember a great little wine shop in the village. It was in a building with several shops, near the top of the hill, on the right of the main pedestrian road as you are walking up toward the ski lifts. Can't recall the name of the shop, sorry.

Had a good selection of wines, I remember picking up a great Dolcetto de Alba there....fair prices, too.
